  55                 OK, this is a fantastic place to start. If you have any history
  56                 with these kinds of games, you probably recognise the name Z0ne,
  57                 if not this flash itself. This was a 'game' (more of a
  58                 controllable animation sequence, really) from Hentaikey, the
  59                 premium source of hentai animations online in the 00s and early
  60                 10s. They are, somehow, still kicking, despite rule34 and
  61                 similar booru sites eating their lunch.

  64                 Z0ne themself is an extremely prolific porn animation creator.
  65                 Filtering to them in Flashpoint gives 117 results, and
  66                 <a href="www.zone-archive.com">Z0ne Archive</a> has a blog post
  67                 as recent as 2023. If you delve deeper they appear to be
  68                 maintaining a fansly for a robot OC that was posted to
  69                 yesterday! I'm glad they're still making cool stuff.

  72                 Even if this was never your scene, you've probably seen z0ne's
  73                 art somewhere or other. They're very good at recreating the
  74                 style of official animations, so in many cases their work looks
  75                 like it could have come out of the original studio itself.
  76               </p>

  78                 This particular animation is one of the earliest I could find
  79                 for z0ne, predating the introduction of z0netan, their OC/ident.
  80                 There's a couple of 2005 animations from them listed on
  81                 Flashpoint, and two 'Hentairella' games that don't have a
  82                 copyright in them and look to be from when they were just
  83                 starting out.

  86                 So what's the game like? Well, it's an animation loop of a
  87                 titjob, or 'paizuri' if you're cultured, featuring the Hentaikey
  88                 mascot girl.

  91                 It's not particualrly in-depth or even very long, but it does
  92                 generate a template that we will see a lot in future games we
  93                 cover. First of all, there's the act list - each of these is a
  94                 different animation loop of Miss Hentaikey performing the listed
  95                 action on a strangely yellow penis.

  98                 In the top right is something we will see in many, many
  99                 animations and games going forward: the 'pleasure' score, here
 100                 listed as a percentage. Strangely enough, this percentage can
 101                 actually go negative, seemingly forever, if you sit on the
 102                 'stop' option in the list for long enough. Each act continually
 103                 raises the pleasure meter at different rates, with it raising
 104                 faster the further south down the list you go.

 107                 Hit 100% pleasure and the action list is replaced with
 108                 <b>CUM</b> and <b>STOP</b>. They do what you'd expect,
 109                 <b>CUM</b> shows a finale animation where Miss Hentaikey gets a
 110                 pretty intense facial. Stop just resets the game to 0% pleasure.

 113                 And that's about all there is to it! Humble beginnings, but a
 114                 degree of gamification that we'll see greatly expanded upon in
 115                 future flashes from z0ne and indeed others.

 118                 is it particularly titillating? Not for me, in this instance.
 119                 There's no foreplay here, and titjobs don't really do it for me.
 120                 The juice ain't worth the squeeze on 'em. The art is excellent
 121                 though, and the animation is both gorgeous and seamlessly loops,
 122                 which is definitely not always the case.

 125                 This does start a trend of z0ne games having BANGERS as the
 126                 soundtrack, mind. The piece in this is only a short loop (maybe
 127                 a minute?) but it's a jazzy funk and honestly it slaps. There
 128                 are no credits on this flash outside of the initial z0ne and
 129                 hentaikey idents, and trying to Shazam the music proved
 130                 fruitless, so all I can conclude is that z0ne composed this
 131                 themselves. It rocks.

 134                 And there we go! First entry, in the bag. Not the most in-depth
 135                 piece of game design here, but we'll get there, promise. We
 136                 gotta start with the small stuff first.
