  56                   which has since become the energy I wish to live my life
  57                   fuelled by. Since then, I have only got gayer. And part of how
  58                   I have only got gayer is by accidentally falling into becoming
  59                   polyamorous.

  62                   "A polyamorous transfemmer? Groundbreaking," I hear you say,
  63                   and it's true. Trans women do loooooove to be poly. But the
  64                   thing is, and bear with me here, I think it's because they
  65                   might be on to something?

  68                   Cat and I first dabbled in polyamory the year prior, where we
  69                   ended up accidentally flirting too hard and fell into sexting
  70                   with our friend Ada. Anyone who knows me knows I've always
  71                   been a hideous flirt, but a bit too much drink and some THC in
  72                   the club later and before you know it I'm talking about how
  73                   much I want them to strap me. Whoops!!!

  76                   Since then it's been kinda constant. We can't seem to make
  77                   friends without also ending up fucking them in some fashion.
  78                   And it's honestly been delightfully liberating?

  81                   There's still so much puritanism around sex. Christianity has
  82                   had a hell of a long reach. I think it's fair to say sex is
  83                   still widely considered to be divorced from friendship, that
  84                   your friends and your pursuits are separate and mixing them is
  85                   largely a Bad Idea.

  88                   But, like, why? I know heterosexuality is a prison for many
  89                   people but, seriously, why? Sex is intimate, sure, but it's
  90                   also... fun? An entertaining way to spend an evening? A good
  91                   way to kill an hour? Why does it have to be reserved to a
  92                   special subset of people you usually haven't got to know
  93                   beforehand?

  96                   It's weird to me. Hets are weird to me. Some of the best sex
  97                   I've had has been with people I've been friends with for ages!
  98                   Last year I flew across Europe to see and shag friends. We had
  99                   a sick evening together and then we hung out and went to a
 100                   museum the day after.

 104                   friendship? But... I don't think that's really true? Not with
 105                   well-adjusted adults, anyway. We're always chatting with the
 106                   aforementioned pan-continental booty call and will be back to
 107                   hang out with them sometime soon. We stopped sexting with Ada
 108                   ages ago but talking with them is still a delight and
 109                   hopefully one day we'll manage to hang out with them IRL, when
 110                   US travel is a little less insane.

 113                   IDK what I hope to achieve with this post. Maybe I just wanna
 114                   brag? But I fuckin' love being poly, and I wanna yap about it
 115                   a little. I think more people should try it out! Free yourself
 116                   of the arbitrary restrictions the world puts on you. Obviously
 117                   if you're in a relationship discuss it with your partner first
 118                   though lmao that's just shitty otherwise. But yeah! It's just
 119                   fun, man. Sex isn't some big important event just have a good
 120                   time. Life's short and everyone you fuck will bring something
 121                   new and fun to your experience.
