  58                 OK, this is a fantastic place to start. If you have any history
  59                 with these kinds of games, you probably recognise the name Z0ne,
  60                 if not this flash itself. This was a 'game' (more of a
  61                 controllable animation sequence, really) from Hentaikey, the
  62                 premium source of hentai animations online in the 00s and early
  63                 10s. They are, somehow, still kicking, despite rule34 and
  64                 similar booru sites eating their lunch.
  65               </p>
  66               <p>
  67                 Z0ne themself is an extremely prolific porn animation creator.
  68                 Filtering to them in Flashpoint gives 117 results, and
  69                 <a href="www.zone-archive.com">Z0ne Archive</a> has a blog post
  70                 as recent as 2023. If you delve deeper they appear to be
  71                 maintaining a fansly for a robot OC that was posted to
  72                 yesterday! I'm glad they're still making cool stuff.
  73               </p>
  74               <p>
  75                 Even if this was never your scene, you've probably seen z0ne's
  76                 art somewhere or other. They're very good at recreating the
  77                 style of official animations, so in many cases their work looks
  78                 like it could have come out of the original studio itself.
  79               </p>
  80               <p>
  81                 This particular animation is one of the earliest I could find
  82                 for z0ne, predating the introduction of z0netan, their OC/ident.
  83                 There's a couple of 2005 animations from them listed on
  84                 Flashpoint, and two 'Hentairella' games that don't have a
  85                 copyright in them and look to be from when they were just
  86                 starting out.

  88               <p>
  89                 So what's the game like? Well, it's an animation loop of a
  90                 titjob, or 'paizuri' if you're cultured, featuring the Hentaikey
  91                 mascot girl.
  92               </p>
  93               <p>
  94                 It's not particualrly in-depth or even very long, but it does
  95                 generate a template that we will see a lot in future games we
  96                 cover. First of all, there's the act list - each of these is a
  97                 different animation loop of Miss Hentaikey performing the listed
  98                 action on a strangely yellow penis.
  99               </p>

 101                 In the top right is something we will see in many, many
 102                 animations and games going forward: the 'pleasure' score, here
 103                 listed as a percentage. Strangely enough, this percentage can
 104                 actually go negative, seemingly forever, if you sit on the
 105                 'stop' option in the list for long enough. Each act continually
 106                 raises the pleasure meter at different rates, with it raising
 107                 faster the further south down the list you go.
 108               </p>
 109               <p>
 110                 Hit 100% pleasure and the action list is replaced with
 111                 <b>CUM</b> and <b>STOP</b>. They do what you'd expect,
 112                 <b>CUM</b> shows a finale animation where Miss Hentaikey gets a
 113                 pretty intense facial. Stop just resets the game to 0% pleasure.
 114               </p>
 115               <p>
 116                 And that's about all there is to it! Humble beginnings, but a
 117                 degree of gamification that we'll see greatly expanded upon in
 118                 future flashes from z0ne and indeed others.
 119               </p>
 120               <p>
 121                 is it particularly titillating? Not for me, in this instance.
 122                 There's no foreplay here, and titjobs don't really do it for me.
 123                 The juice ain't worth the squeeze on 'em. The art is excellent
 124                 though, and the animation is both gorgeous and seamlessly loops,
 125                 which is definitely not always the case.

 128                 This does start a trend of z0ne games having BANGERS as the
 129                 soundtrack, mind. The piece in this is only a short loop (maybe
 130                 a minute?) but it's a jazzy funk and honestly it slaps. There
 131                 are no credits on this flash outside of the initial z0ne and
 132                 hentaikey idents, and trying to Shazam the music proved
 133                 fruitless, so all I can conclude is that z0ne composed this
 134                 themselves. It rocks.
 135               </p>

 137                 And there we go! First entry, in the bag. Not the most in-depth
 138                 piece of game design here, but we'll get there, promise. We
 139                 gotta start with the small stuff first.
